Wakefield Street Angels
Wakefield Street Angels is a team of compassionate volunteers from all backgrounds, of all ages and various faiths (or none) using core values of honesty, integrity, being non-judgemental whilst using their key listening, caring and people skills to help vulnerable individuals on a Friday and Saturday night between 10pm and 2am (approx.). We are working in collaboration with faith leaders and other support agencies in the area.
DBS and Safeguarding
We pay for the DBS check required for you to volunteer with vulnerable people of all ages. This will require photo ID and proof of address documents. More information can be provided when you meet us. Safeguarding is not just for those who are intoxicated on the streets whilst having a night out. You will always be with other Street Angels or Night Marshals when patrolling the pedestrian night-time economy zones in Wakefield, including the Safe Space area on Westgate. Each patrol is in contact with CCTV and police.

Street Angels enjoy helping and want to make sure that other people are okay, even when a little worse for wear.
